Founded by Chloe Rush in February 2002 as Amethyst Freelance Design, the business was originally a sole trader providing graphic design services to other design companies on a freelance basis. In 2007 the company changed its name to Amethyst Design Solutions and it was registered as a Private Limited Company. After trying to settle into a few different offices in Milton Keynes and in Northampton Amethyst Design Solutions decided that the most convenient place for it to be would actually be in its customers' office. Amethyst Design Solutions decided to offer this exclusive service to its existing long term customers. In 2010 they were hired by Mechline Developments on a contract basis working exclusively for them 3 days a week at their premises in Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes. This agreement still stands to date, and there has been other very satisfied customers like Milton Keynes FastFit Station, who have also taken advantage of this same one-to-one service.
